ABOUT US

Ciara Hosein is a graduate of Bowie State University who has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice and Law. She recently completed her certificate of Christian Studies with Harvard University School of Divinity.  And holds a Masters of Theology with the National Bible College and Seminary where she recently worked as an Associate Professor at the National Seminary teaching Greek Biblical languages for the Master’s level Program. Ms. Hosein has served as a member of the George Washington University Employment Advisory Board, as well as a former task force member of the Deputy Mayor Office of Planning and Economic Development on Career Pathways for District Residents.  Lending over 10 years of experience in the Employment and Public sector; putting over 2650 people to work  and is often noted as a subject matter expert in the field. Prior to becoming a full time entrepreneur she formerly worked at the Arc Prince George’s County and served as the Director of Workforce Development providing strategic direction for collaborative partnerships and employment. Her main focus has been on building solid relationships with local Business Communities at Large, and City Chambers of Commerce to help bridge the gap of employment for families and at risk youth.

Ms. Hosein also works on a consistent basis providing advocacy down at the John A. Wilson Building, in addition to Prince George’s County Administration with city elected officials to help foster legislature that would best assist  those in our most vulnerable populations. And in quote is often called the “City Spokesperson and Advocate of opportunity for all”. Ms. Hosein provides motivational lectures to returning citizens at CSOSA, State of the Company Addresses for medical firms, conducts radio interviews, and a host of other empowering events to benefit city residents. She holds community prayer gatherings for children and parents in DC’s Ward 8. She also feeds the homeless in Downtown DC to those in need. Ms. Hosein has hosted several Relationship Workshops with inspirational messages to help empower men, women, and youth. And for the past  3 years she has co-organized the Annual Peace Rally March in Washington DC to help Stop the Violence in inner city neighborhoods with the participation of former Mayor Vincent Gray, Councilwomen Elissa Silverman, and a host of city stake holders. In addition to that she has marched in DC with Rev Al Sharpton, and has rallied down at the White House for Civil Rights issues concerning all Americans.

 

Ms. Hosein has been seen on many television screens from Fox 5, NBC4, WSUA9, CTV News, Comcast NBC Universal and many more for her noted works in the community. In August of 2016  Ciara Hosein was the Recipient of the “Humanitarian Award” presented by Vital Magazine for her enormous philanthropy efforts and city initiatives to build better communities. It’s safe to say her contributions to the community, and relentless effort to see individuals develop has created a trajectory for others to follow for a lifetime.

Characterville was founded in January of 2019. It is a female minority owned, and operated facility located in Crofton Md. We exist because there was a strong desire to create magical experience for those of which we come in contact with. We have an array of Costumed Character mascots to choose from, to host your next party or celebratory event! Our employees have a strong passion for working with both kids and families creating the ultimate experience!  Here at Characterville Entertainment we pride ourselves on having the ability to "Put a Smile On Every Person's Face". We have tons of exciting activities and amusement rentals making your party and or celebration something to remember!
